The Rev. John N. Paddack B.A. M.A. M.S. M. Div. P.D. took over the reins as Principal at Farrell on July 1, 2002. Fr. Paddack had previously been academic dean at St. Joseph´s by-the-Sea for four years, in addition to teaching French and Spanish at the school. After working as a lay teacher for several years in the Bronx, he was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of New York in 1984.
Before working at St. Joseph´s, Fr. Paddack taught at Cardinal Hayes High School and St. Helena´s High School, both in the Bronx. A Counseling Psychologist with a background in crisis management, his skills have been put to good use since last year after September 11. Fr. Paddack has acquired numerous qualifications to prepare him for the position. A professional diploma in supervision and administration from St. John´s University, together with master´s degrees in counseling psychology, Theology, French philosophy and literature, continued his education beyond a bachelor´s degree in modern languages and philosophy from Fordham University. He was appointed to a three year term by Cardinal Egan although this is usually extended.
