SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

The New York Times College Scholarship Program - Students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement as well as the ability to overcome financial and other obstacles should apply. Up to 20 scholarship winners are selected and funds up to $7,500 for each year of college will be provided. Applications are available in the guidance office. Students interested in this scholarship must submit application to the NY Times by October 20, 2007.

SAE Engineering Scholarship Programs – Offers University based scholarships and undesignated scholarships. A brochure is available for information in the guidance office.

The Coca-Cola Scholarship – Is available online at www.coca-colascholars.org. 250 students will be awarded scholarships ranging from $10,000 to $20,000. The deadline for this scholarship is October 31, 2007.

OPEN HOUSE

The State University of New York – Holding its annual SUNY College Night on Tuesday, October 9 from 4:30 to 8PM at the Javits Center, 655 West 34 th street.

************************************************************************************** Special Note: College representatives have told me that students should indicate on the application (under Testing Section) the dates of all SAT exams the student took and will take. They also state that students should NOT wait for SAT results to apply to a college. Students should start the process and then ask the College Board to send the score reports.
