June 16th - 25th

Denino's at the Den is closed for the remainder of the school year.
There will not be in-school food service during final exams.

  • Beginning on Monday, June 16th, students will only report to school when they have a final exam or Regents exam, and then for the final day of school on Friday, June 27th.

  • The dress code for exams is the spring/fall uniform.

  • It is the students' responsibility to know the dates, times, and rooms for their final/Regents exams.

  • Students received their room assignments in school. They are also listed with the exam schedule, and will also be posted on the TV boards in school.

  • Students must report to their designated rooms before the scheduled start time of their exam:

8:00 am for 8:30 am exams

11:45 am for 12:00 pm exams

Our teachers covered the required curriculum for the Regents Exams, and we will continue to use Regents Exams as a final assessment for the year. Therefore, students may not opt out of this exam as it is their final exam.

Please note the following change to the final exam schedule:

The Religion 10S exam originally scheduled for Monday, June 16, has been moved to Friday, June 20th at noon.

Absences During Final Exams & Making Up Final Exams

If a student is going to be absent from an exam:

  • The parent must call the attendance office, 718-987-2900 ext.1225, before 8:00 am the day of the exam.

  • A doctor’s note must be emailed/faxed to the Attendance Office before the student is able to make up the exam. *Failure to take an exam at the designated time without a doctor’s note will result in a 20% penalty. This is non-negotiable.

  • Any student who is absent for an exam must make up the exam(s) at the next scheduled time slot(s) when he does not have another exam scheduled.

Example:

A student is absent for a final exam scheduled for Monday morning. He returns to school for his next scheduled exam on Tuesday morning, and he does not have an exam scheduled for Tuesday afternoon. Tuesday afternoon is his next available time slot, and he must make up the exam he missed at this time.

If that same student had exams scheduled for both Tuesday morning and Tuesday afternoon, and his next scheduled exam wasn't until Thursday, he must make up the exam on Wednesday morning, his first available time slot.

  • All makeup exams are given in the Learning Commons.

  • If a student misses an exam and has questions about when to make it up, he should contact Mr. DeMartino before returning to school.
