General Information

Teachers covered the required curriculum for the Regents Exams.  As such, we will continue to use the Regents Exams as a final assessment for the year.

Therefore, students may not opt out of taking Regents Exams, as it is their final exam.

 

Monday, June 15th

*Beginning on Monday, June 15th, students will only report to school when they have a final exam or a Regents Exam. 

*Students taking Regents Exams on June 9th & 10th will only report to school for those exams.
  • There is no in-school food service during final exams. Students who are taking two exams in one day may bring lunch.
  • It is imperative that students know when and where to report for exams. Students will receive their final exam/Regents Exam room assignments during school
  • Room assignments for exams will also be posted on the TV boards in school on the day of the exams.
  • Students must report to their assigned rooms 15-20 minutes before the scheduled start time of their exam: Report by 8:00 am for 8:30 am exams, 11:15 am for 11:30 am exams, and 11:45 am for 12:00 pm exams.
  • Fall/spring uniform for all exams.
  • Students have a maximum of 2 hours to take final exams and are required to stay for a minimum of 1 and 1/2 hours. They have up to 3 hours for Regents Exams and must stay for at least 2 hours.
  • Students are dismissed for the day after their exams.

Absences During Exams

If a student is going to be absent for a final and/or Regents Exam:

  • A parent must call the attendance office before 8:00 am on the day of the exam. (718) 979-2050
  • A doctor’s note must be e-mailed/faxed to the Attendance Office before the student is able to take the exam.​ attendance@msgrfarrellhs.org or (718) 987-4241

*Failure to take an exam at the designated date and time without a doctor’s note will result in a 20% penalty. This is non-negotiable.
