"C" Day

 


  • Registration for St. John's College Advantage Program is extended until Friday, October 7, 2022.  The  payment deadline is now October 14, 2022.  Ask your teachers for additional information or see Mr. Bradley in the Guidance Office if you have any questions.

 

  • Students are prohibited from being in the breezeway, gymnasium and locker room,  during school hours!

 

  • Art Club will NOT meet today, Thursday, September 29th.  Meetings will resume next week.

 

  • Anyone interested in the High School Life and Love Leadership Day on October 6, 2022, please see Mr. Scafuri in Rm 108.

 

  • CLAW has resumed as of Monday, September 26, 2022, at 7:20 - 8AM.  Students who need additional help are encouraged to "pop" in and get assistance. NHS tutors are reminded to look at the schedule for CLAW on Schoology and arrive promptly and on time!

 

  •  Sign ups for Intramural Basketball are due to Mr. Tierney today, Thursday, September 29, 2022.  Anyone who is planning on refereeing needs to see Mr. Tierney.

 

  • There is a Holy Name/Ushers Society meeting today, Thursday, September 29, 2022, in Rm 108.

 

  • The Archaeology Society will NOT meet this Thursday, due to the early dismissal.  The next meeting will be Thursday, October 6, 2022, at 2:45 PM in Rm 112.​

 

  • Any students interested in playing Intramural Bocce should email Mr. Bilotti or Mr. Tierney.

 

  • Any freshman or sophomore interested in hosting an 8th-grade middle school student as part of the shadow program, please sign up in the Main Office.

 

  • Elections will take place on Thursday, September 29, 2022, for students who would like to run for homeroom representative.  

 

  • Any student interested in volunteering for Open House, please sign up in the Main Office. 

 

  • Any sophomore or junior looking for NHS Service hours can inquire with Mr. Acri, via teams, email, or stop by his office.

 

  • The Writing Studio will be meeting with Miss Guerriero in the Learning Commons this week, from 2:30 - 4:00PM,  on September 30, 2022. Any students who need help with their college essays are encouraged to attend. 

 

  • On Saturday, October 22, 2022, from 10 AM - 2PM, we are hosting our annual Family Fall Festival for our entire school community.  This year we have some exciting promotions for all to join in the fun:  we will be holding a contest for the entire student body.  The class that has the most students, (Freshman, Sophomore, Juniors, and Seniors), in attendance, will earn a free dress-down day during the school year. Pre-registrants do not count towards this contest.

 

  •  The Baby Food Pantry is in need of items such as baby food, formula, diapers, and wipes.  Please bring your donated items to Rm 109 during homeroom.

 

  • Bienvenidos a todos!  If you wish to join the Spanish Club, give your name to your language teacher ASAP!

 

  • Students are required to have a school lock on all lockers.  Non-school locks are NOT permitted.

 

  • Cell phones are prohibited between 8:15 AM and 2:30 PM.  If you need to use your phone please go to the Dean's Office or Main Office.

 

  • The State Textbook office will return to normal Tuesday and Thursday hours.  (8:10 Am - 8:30 AM)

 

  • Driver Education students should see Mr. Besignano during their lunch period for their schedule.  Class began on Monday, September 26, 2022. Driver Ed Applications for the Fall Semester are available in the Main Office and school website.  You do not need to have a permit to start the course.  Please see Mr. Beisgnano for more information.
