How to Vote
Via Email | Wednesday, May 20th
- All current Monsignor Farrell freshmen, sophomores, and juniors are eligible to vote.
- Voting begins when students receive an email on the morning of Wednesday, May 20, and closes at the end of 7th period on that same day.
- Students will receive an email at their Farrell email address through "OPA vote" with their unique link for their personal, anonymous ballot.
- Voting will be for the President of the Monsignor Farrell High School Student Government for the 2026-2027 school year.
- This is a ranked-choice vote with what is known as an "instant run-off." Students will rank all 8 candidates, from their 1st choice for president to their 8th choice. The candidate with the strongest support from the most voters wins the presidency. The next candidate becomes vice president.
Please read the candidate profiles and statements, and take time between now and Wednesday, May 20th, to consider whom you will vote for.
Remember, the Student Government — and especially the presidency — is about being "servant-leaders" in the Farrell community.
Service — as in putting yourself after the needs of the school, the tasks from the administration, and the needs of your brothers.
Leader — not just taking initiative in, organizing, and inspiring service by your brothers, but also doing your best to help set the tone and create the culture of the Vir Fidelis: it is your job, and the job of Student Government, to lead the way by example and influence in creating an atmosphere where every Farrell Man does his best to live up to the Vir Fidelis within, and feels that his brothers expect no less of him.
The more seriously you take this vote, the more credibility your Student Government will have as your voice to the school.
Good luck to our candidates
