2026 Student Government Candidate

I firmly believe that if you ask anybody at Farrell, the first word that comes to mind when thinking of the school, they will respond with "brotherhood".

Whether the first time you heard this was from a family member or friend who went to Farrell, or an open house you attended in middle school, I am sure you have heard this word hundreds of times since then.

Despite this, I believe that when most of us see a Farrell student whom we do not know, whether it is in the hallways, at the train station, or in our own neighborhood, we view them as "a boy that goes to Farrell" and not as a brother. I wish to serve as Student Government President to close this gap between one another and strengthen the student-to-student bond throughout the entire school.

I view the role of Student Government President as a spokesperson for the entire student body and somebody who we can all trust to make advancements towards the betterment of Monsignor Farrell. This role should be filled by somebody with integrity, whom everybody can trust to make it a priority over any other responsibilities they hold. If elected as president, I guarantee each student my commitment to this role.

I believe every single person has a talent or calling, or even a way they hope to better themselves. Many people often fail to act on this potential because they do not have enough confidence in themselves and support to do so.

Center for Achievement

If I am elected as president, I would like to start a "Center for Achievement", where students can gather and look for guidance and support among each other regarding goals they have, spanning from goals as big as getting into their dream college, or as small as dropping a triple-double in gym basketball. The Center for Achievement will be a place where students can learn from their peers on how to be the person they want to be.

The most efficient way to improve yourself is by helping others. To help bring the best out of every Farrell student, I hope to increase the number of connections between Monsignor Farrell and charitable institutions, much like the connection we have with St. Roch's food pantry. By creating more volunteering opportunities for students, they will be able to help others in a way they find interesting while also building their college résumés.

What is a Vir Fidelis?

Vir Fidelis is a man who wakes up every day and strives to put the benefit of others before themselves. A Vir Fidelis is somebody willing to put themselves in an uncomfortable situation if it means they are helping someone else.

In order to be a Vir Fidelis, one must understand their life has to have priorities, with God being first, others second, and yourself third.  All of these go hand-in-hand, as the more you work towards one, the better you will get in another.

A Vir Fidelis must understand that they do not always do the right thing, as none of us do, but despite this, they continue to strive towards being the best man they can be.
