2026 Student Government Candidate
The president of a group of people is not one person who is above the rest of the population. It is one person whose sole purpose is to serve the population. That is what I wish to do as Student Government President; I wish to be a servant of the faithful men of Monsignor Farrell High School and serve the community that we have built to the best of my ability.
As president, I would work to set an example for all the students at Monsignor Farrell High School, to be someone that current and incoming students can look to, not at someone that is a "rank" above them, but as someone who is just like them, because I am.
I would work to have more events that involve the community at Farrell to build fellowship among our students and their families. I would also work to hold more fundraisers; fundraisers bring the Farrell family together to help others as a collective and build a sense of community among the students.
Big Brother
One last thing I would work towards to make Farrel a better community is to work to strengthen the Big Brother program.
It is very important that new incoming students have someone who has been through the "Farrell experience" to give them a guiding hand. Strengthening this program will also make everyone familiar with each other, which is very important for the community because it can make it so that almost everyone is a familiar face.
What is a Vir Fidelis?
A Vir Fidelis is not something you become or a title you get just for attending Monsignor Farrell High School; it is something that you grow into as you mature. Being a Vir Fidelis is also not something that you can be passively; it requires effort and dedication to those around you to truly be a Vir Fidelis.
A Vir Fidelis is a person who is dedicated to their community, not for personal benefit, but for the benefit of those around them. Not being a good person because they want to go to Heaven, but being a good person because that is the right thing to do.
A Vir Fidelis is selfless and determined to be the best person they can be, and quantifies that as being a man of God and dedicated to the service of others for the benefit of the community.
