Uniform and Dress Code Information
Monsignor Farrell Uniforms
- There are three Monsignor Farrell High School uniforms, plus the gym uniform. See the details below for each.
- All of the uniform items must be purchased through through FlynnO'Hara Uniforms (except the uniform tie, lapel pin, and gym uniform).
- The school tie, Special Occasion Uniform lapel pin, and the gym uniform, are sold only in Maroon & Gold, Inc., our school store located in the Main Lobby. *Lapel pins are given to each student at freshman orientation and to students who transfer into Monsignor Farrell High School. If a student loses his pin, he must purchase a new one. They are a required part of the Special Occasion Uniform.
Wearing anything not purchased through FlynnO'Hara (except for the tie, lapel pin, and gym uniform) will be considered a uniform violation.
Gym Uniform
All Monsignor Farrell High School Students are required to wear the gym uniform shorts and uniform t-shirt during physical education class. Students must wear athletic shoes (sneakers) of their choosing to gym class. Students wear their school uniform to school and change into their gym uniform for physical education class.
The gym uniform is only sold at the Monsignor Farrell High School campus store, Maroon & Gold, Inc., located in the main lobby of the school.
Online Orders Until May 1, 2025
The gym uniform may be ordered online until Thursday, May 1st.
Online orders must be picked up at Monsignor Farrell High School on either:
- Saturday, May 3rd between 9:00 am - 11:00 am in the school store (main lobby)
or
- Tuesday, May 6th, 4:30 pm - 8:30 pm (Class of 2029 Orientation night)
School Tie
The uniform tie is required for all students and is part of the winter uniform and the special occasion uniform.
The uniform tie is only sold at the Monsignor Farrell High School campus store, Maroon & Gold, Inc., located in the main lobby of the school.
Online Orders Until May 1, 2025
The uniform tie may be ordered online until Thursday, May 1st.
Online orders must be picked up at Monsignor Farrell High School on either:
- Saturday, May 3rd between 9:00 am - 11:00 am in the school store (main lobby)
or
- Tuesday, May 6th, 4:30 pm - 8:30 pm (Class of 2029 Orientation night)
Private Uniform Shopping Event
Monday, June 9th, 2025 to Saturday, June 14th, 2025

FlynnO’Hara will be holding private uniform shopping for Monsignor Farrell High School families at their Staten Island store from Monday, June 9th, 2025 to Saturday, June 14th, 2025. Their staff will be available to answer questions about the uniforms and help you shop for the upcoming school year.

It is strongly recommended that uniform ordering be done at least ONE MONTH before the first day of school.
Fall/Spring Uniform
The fall/spring uniform is worn from the beginning of the school year in September until October/November, and again in April until the end of the school year in June (specific dates will be announced).
- Maroon Short-Sleeve Polo
- Khaki Pants (choice of khaki twill or men's classic khaki)
- Black/Brown Reversible Belt
- Dress Socks
- School Shoe; choice of lace-up or slip-on (same for all uniforms)
Students may also wear the maroon long-sleeved V-neck or the 3/4 zip sweater, which is part of the winter uniform, OVER the uniform polo shirt.
Winter Uniform
The winter uniform is worn from October/November until the middle/end of April (specific dates will be announced).
- Gray Dress Pants
- Dress Shirt in White or Blue (long or short sleeve)
- School Tie (purchased in Maroon & Gold, Inc. school store)
- Maroon Long Sleeve V-Neck or 3/4 Zip Sweater (No other sweaters/sweatshirts/hoodies/jackets are permitted to be worn during the school day)
- Black/Brown Reversible Belt
- Dress Socks
- School Shoe; choice of lace-up or slip-on (same for all uniforms)
Special Occasion Uniform
At any time, we may require the students to wear the Special Occasion Uniform, which we will give notice about.
- Navy Blazer with School Lapel Pin
- Gray Dress Pants
- Dress Shirt in White or Blue (long or short sleeve)
- School Tie (purchased in Maroon & Gold, Inc. school store)
- Black/Brown Reversible Belt
- Dress Socks
- School Shoe; choice of lace-up or slip-on (same for all uniforms)
Lapel Pins are given to each student at freshman orientation and to students who transfer into Monsignor Farrell High School. If a student loses his pin, he must purchase a new one. Pins are sold in the Maroon & Gold, Inc. school store.
Long Sleeve Sweaters are not allowed to be worn with the special occasion uniform.
