Special Arrival and Departure Procedures

For the safety of all students, parents, faculty, and staff, we need your complete cooperation with the following procedures to ensure smooth and orderly arrival and departure. Please allow extra travel time.

  • **Students who are dropped off and/or picked up at school**

At our request, the Department of Sanitation has begun to clear the snow along Amboy Road in hopes that we can safely resume the dropping off and picking up of students in front of the school. However, as it is out of our control, we cannot guarantee that enough snow will be cleared to do so.

If you are dropping off or picking up, we ask that you use your best judgment to determine if it can be safely done on Amboy Road.

Please do not stop in the middle of the road or double park to drop off/pick up. This not only adds to the traffic but creates a dangerous condition for our students.

For your convenience, students may be dropped off and picked up in the circular driveway for the remainder of the week. Cars will only be permitted to make a RIGHT TURN out of the Circular Driveway onto Amboy Road. Left turns out of the Circular Driveway are not permitted.

Parents are not to enter the main parking lot with their vehicles to drop off/pick up, or use it as a cut-through or turnaround.

Monsignor Farrell deans and security will be on hand to assist.

  • Students who drive to school

Students who are driving to school are reminded to drive cautiously at all times, including in the parking lot.

ALL students who drive to school - seniors with parking lot permits, seniors without parking lot permits, and any junior who drives to school are all permitted to park in the senior parking lot. There are no available parking spots on the surrounding blocks due to the snow, including Amboy Road and Tysens Lane.

We strongly encourage all students who are driving to school to park in the senior parking lot.

Both entrances on Amboy Road into the parking lot will be open. They are only for students, faculty, and staff to use. For the safety and security of our students, faculty, and staff, parents are not to enter the main parking lot with their vehicles to use as a cut-through or to turn around.

  • Students who take the train

The path from the train station to the school is clear and will be open as usual

  • Students who take the bus
