MEDI welcomes interventional cardiologist Dr. Johathan Spagnola of Staten Island University Hospital - Northwell Health.
Dr. Spagnola and his team will be educating students on cardiac care, focusing on advancements in cardiology that lead to less invasive heart surgeries and more successful cardiac outcomes.
Following his presentation, students will partake in hands-on activities, replicating some of the important tasks involved in cardiac care.
Dr. Spagnola is the Associate Fellowship Director, Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship, Staten Island University Hospital - Northwell Health and an Assistant Professor of Cardiology at the Hofstra-Zucker School of Medicine. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, interventional cardiology, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and vascular interpretation. His clinical interests include heart attacks, cardiogenic shock, and complex interventions.
