Presented by the Monsignor Farrell Marine Biology Society and The Frag Farm
Calling all reef hobbyists, marine life lovers, and the curious!
Monsignor Farrell is proud to host its first-ever Coral Frag Fest — a hands-on celebration of the reef aquarium hobby, right here at Farrell.
What's a Frag Fest?
A "frag" is a small, living piece cut from a healthy coral colony that grows into a brand-new colony of its own. At a Frag Fest, local vendors and reef-keeping enthusiasts bring hundreds of coral frags — from beginner-friendly softies to show-stopping SPS and LPS pieces — for you to browse, buy, trade, and admire.
What to Expect
- A full vendor floor with coral frags, tanks, lighting, and reef equipment
- Raffles and giveaways throughout the day
- Experts on hand to answer questions about coral care, tank setups, and the hobby
- A great opportunity for students interested in marine biology, aquaculture, or conservation
A Coral Frag Fest is a celebration of living reefs, careful husbandry, and the people who care for them. Whether you are a current reefer, a student exploring marine science, or simply curious, the event offers color, community, and a deeper appreciation for the underwater world — all in the spirit of Farrell’s commitment to learning, responsibility, and brotherhood.
