As a Monsignor Farrell High School student, you will have the opportunity to travel beyond Staten Island to discover and experience the world.
Our programming and extracurricular activities give our students the opportunity to visit some of the most historic places on earth. Our annual world cultural tour has recently taken our students to places like Venice, Florence and Rome.
This year, our students will travel to France to walk the beaches of Normandy, observe the Mona Lisa in The Louvre, and visit the Eiffel Tower in Paris. They will have the opportunity to experience the city’s most impressive monuments, from the magnificent Arc de Triomphe at the top of the Champs-Élysées to Napoleon’s final resting place at Les Invalides to the Gothic wonder of Notre Dame.

Our Marine Biology Society, the only high school academic program of its kind on Staten Island, will study in Key Largo, Fla., this winter at the Everglades National Park, the Dolphin Research Center, and will take part in the MarineLab Invertebrate Exploration program.
Our students have traveled to places like Washington D.C. and Albany to meet with government officials.
Our WFBN-TV studio crew regularly travels to locations such as ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox News, CNN. Crew members travel to many different places for shows and interviews. WFBN-TV has filmed on location in Washington, D.C., Boston, Massachusetts, Newport, Rhode Island, New York City, Kennedy Space Center, Florida, and aboard the USS Intrepid.

Athletics — Be a Lion
As a Monsignor Farrell Lion, you will be a part of the best sports and physical education program on Staten Island. Coach Dennis Barrett Stadium provides a one-of-one athletics atmosphere on Staten Island. Coupled with our Division I level Performance & Wellness Center, we provide unique and elite athletic programs to our students.
Friday Night Lights — Sold Out!
Monsignor Farrell is the only Staten Island high school athletic complex to feature seating on both sides of the stadium.
Our Friday night football games regularly sell out and draw crowds of over 3,500 spectators.
Our two-story fitness center boasts a facility that rivals many colleges and includes the di Silvestri Wrestling Center, as well as the Performance & Wellness Center, which is available to all students.
Monsignor Farrell also offers a number of intramural sports programs, including flag football, basketball, and bocce.
NY State Champions
The 2022-2023 Monsignor Farrell Varsity Basketball team is the only Staten Island boys basketball team to ever win the New York State Federation Championship.
