Despite a heartbreaking overtime loss to St. Joseph's Collegiate in the NY State Championship game, junior goaltender Matteo Beach was named the game's MVP. Beach faced 50 shots, including 17 in the third period, helping the Lions send the game into overtime. “Matty Beach was a star,” said head coach Steve DeFranco. “He showed everyone that he is an elite goaltender. Not often do you see the championship game MVP go to the losing team.”
