College Week (Week of March 11th)

  • Volunteers are needed for student and parent check-in.

April Meeting

Monday, April 8th

All parents are invited to attend the Farrell Family Association meeting on Monday, April 8th at 7:00 pm in the Main Lobby.


National Honor Society

Wednesday, April 17th | 6:30 pm | Gym/Cafeteria

  • Sophomores, juniors, and seniors are inducted into the National Honor Society based on their Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character.
  • Volunteers are needed to serve refreshments, set up, and clean up.

Pocketbook Bingo *Mandatory Event Choice*

Friday, April 26th | 7:00 pm | Gym

  • Biggest FFA Fundraiser of the year.
  • Volunteers are needed to assist with admission, raffle baskets, basket set-up, raffle sales 50/50 sales, games, birthday board, etc.

Junior Ring Mass & Breakfast

Sunday, April 21st | 10:00 pm | Gym/Cafeteria

  • Juniors receiving rings will receive an invitation to Mass and continental breakfast.
  • Volunteers are needed to assist with set-up, serving, and clean-up in the gym.

Underclassmen Awards Ceremony

Wednesday, May 1st | 6:30 pm | Gym

  • Light refreshments are served in the back of the gym/breezeway.
  • Volunteers are needed to serve refreshments, set up, and clean up.

Spring Open House

Sunday, May 5th | 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

  • A welcome to all new potential students & parents to Monsignor Farrell High School.
  • Volunteers are needed to work the Farrell table throughout the day, distribute items, and answer questions.

Thank You Reception

Wednesday, May 8th | 6:30 pm | Main Lobby

  • New Board Inducted.
  • All Volunteers are Invited for dinner.

Senior Parents Cocktail Party

Friday, May 17th | 6:30 pm | Main Lobby

  • All senior parents are invited to a cocktail party which includes food, beer, wine, & soda.
  • Volunteers are needed on the day of the event to set up, serve food and beverages, and clean up.

Senior Mass and Breakfast

Sunday, May 19th | 10:00 am | Gym/Breezeway

  • All senior families are welcome to attend Mass and a hot breakfast buffet.
  •  Mass is held in the gym and breakfast is served in the breezeway (Lobby if inclement weather).
  • Volunteers are needed to assist with set-up, serving, clean-up, and guest check-in at the event.

Graduation Staff Luncheon

Saturday, May 25th | Time TBA | Learning Commons

  • Order lunch and set up for staff in the Learning Commons.

Rose Ceremony

Saturday, June 1st | 10:00 am

  • Event honoring senior mothers who completed four-year volunteer requirements and met attendance requirements.
  • Volunteers are needed for journals, poems and recordings, set-up, decorations, food servers, refreshments, and photography.


Committees

Solicitation Committee 

(Solicit business donations for various fundraisers)

  • Committee members are required to secure a minimum of 6 donations valued at $50 or more.
  • These donations will be included in baskets for Pocketbook Bingo, the Rose Ceremony and various fundraising events held throughout the year.
  • We appreciate and accept all donations, we suggest a minimum of $50 to ensure we can create high-value baskets.

Donations can include but are not limited to, gift cards to stores (department, chain stores, etc), restaurants, local businesses/services (boutiques, auto body, car wash, gyms, spa, etc), and high-value merchandise (small kitchen appliances, sporting goods, sports memorabilia, etc).


Day Parent Committee

  • Volunteers available for various jobs during the school day throughout the school year i.e. stung envelopes for mailings, distributing gym uniforms, basket wrapping, etc.
  • VERY LIMITED NUMBER OF OPPORTUNITIES. IF YOU ARE ONLY LOOKING FOR DAYTIME VOLUNTEER WORK IT IS SUGGESTED THAT YOU ALSO SIGN UP TO WORK IN THE BOOKSTORE

Bookstore (Maroon & Gold, Inc.)

  • The Bookstore Committee is a daytime committee. However, there are a few weekend and nighttime opportunities as well.

Working in the bookstore may fulfill your volunteer requirement for the year as you will be asked to work MULTIPLE SHIFTS.


Photography Committee

  • Committee members are required to have a camera and experience in taking photographs and uploading and editing photographs to a shareable website.
  • A photographer will be assigned by the chairperson to various FFA events throughout the school year.
  • It is highly recommended that you also sign-up for other committees as you may only be asked to photograph at one or 2 events.
