Ghost, Ghouls, and Goblins invaded the campus in a glorious Halloween celebration

Joe Sparacio, '24, claimed the top prize of this year's senior Halloween costume contest for his portrayal of Captain Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean.

Farrell had an eventful October that featured plenty of events this fall leading up to Halloween this year. This included a Halloween dance held by the Friends of Staten Island (FOSI) organization at Farrell.

The FOSI dance had plenty to do, with everyone there wearing amazing costumes and music blasting. The dance also held a movie and even a costume competition, with the winner sporting a popular costume of The Joker.

Yet with all these major events, it led to the best event being held each year here at Farrell. That is, of course, our Halloween event where both the students and the staff can dress up in costumes, with the students competing for a cash prize.

There were so many amazing costumes that were there that day all the way from Gru and his minions, to some of our staff, and even the crew from Sesame Street. Even the teachers were dressed up, and it overall was an amazing celebration here at our school.

Joe Sparacio won the contest for his portrayal of Capt. Jack Sparrow, with runner-ups including the baseball team as the characters from A League of Their Own in second place and Elton Llolla as Mr. Weir in third place.

It was an overall amazing event and everyone that was involved had done an amazing job. Everyone here at Farrell cannot wait to see what next year's senior class could have in store for Halloween.
