MEDI ER to Classroom Experience
MEDI students participated in part 1 of the "From the ER to the Classroom Experience" sponsored by SIUH - Northwell Health. The team lead by Dr. Eli Youssef, Dr. Joseph Basile '02, Anthony Yodice RN, and Rick Livan '12 informed students of the many career opportunities within the hospital system and answered student questions about college, medical school and programs and the steps to take to become a medical professional. Dr. Youssef demonstrated the procedure of inserting a central line. Senior Andrew Giordano then performed the "procedure." Students also participated in diagnosing emergency room traumas.
