State Textbook Policies

According to New York State law, each student receives textbooks which must be returned to the school at the end of the academic year.

Textbooks are distributed to students during orientation in September and the numbers for those books are recorded by the students on the cards.

Any student who does not return the New York State textbooks he was issued at the end of the school year for any reason, must pay for the book(s). This policy also applies to students who transfer out of Monsignor Farrell prior to the end of the school year.  A replacement book with a matching ISBN number may be purchased in place of a lost book. A book without a matching ISBN number will not be accepted.

Contact Mr. Tierney to get the exact ISBN number(s). A recovery fee of $5 will be assessed upon return.

If you have a missing book and it is found during the school year, your book will be returned to you and a $5 lost and found fee will be charged.

Textbooks should be covered with removable book covers to protect them.

Fines will be levied for books returned in an abused condition. Please be aware that checks will not be accepted (cash only).
