Mr. Williams began his teaching career at Monsignor Farrell in 1998 as a teacher of U.S. history & government, global history, geography, and economics. He also served as the moderator of the history club and was an assistant coach for the cross-country and indoor/outdoor track & field teams.

Mr. Williams returned to the Monsignor Farrell High School Department of History & Social Sciences in 2021 and currently teaches U.S. history & government and global studies and is the founder and moderator of the Archaeology Society.

As a United States Army Officer, Mr. Williams deployed overseas on multiple occasions, including combat operations while a member of the Monsignor Farrell faculty. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, the military's 4th-highest-ranking award, on two occasions for meritorious service in a combat zone in Iraq. He was also awarded the Combat Infantryman's Badge for engagement in ground combat in Mogadishu in 1993.

During his military career, Mr. Williams also attended the United States Air Force Command and Staff College, the US Army Command and General Staff College, as well as the Army Operational Knowledge Management Qualification Course.

He is a graduate of Airborne School, Ranger School, Infantry Officer Basic (1988), and Infantry Officer Advanced (1992) courses at Fort Benning, Georgia. As a Lieutenant, Mr. Williams served as a Mechanized Infantry (Bradley Fighting Vehicle) Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer, and Battalion Personnel Officer in 3rd Infantry Division for a three-year tour (1989-1992) in Schweinfurt, Germany.

As a Captain, he served as a Light Infantry Assistant Operations Officer, with the 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry, and 10th Mountain Division, for Rifle Battalion QRF (Quick Reaction Force) in Mogadishu, Somalia in 1993.

After the attacks on America on September 11, 2001, Mr. Williams returned to the army as an individual ready reservist (IRR) officer and deployed to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2003-04 where he served with 3ID and Combined Joint Task Force-7.

He currently holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Reserves.

In addition to the Bronze Star and the CIB, Mr. Williams was also awarded the Legion of Merit; Meritorious Service Medal; Army Commendation Medal w/ 3 Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters; Army Achievement Medal w/1 Bronze OLC; National Defense Service Medal w/ 1 Bronze OLC; Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Somalia); Iraq Campaign Medal; Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; Global War on Terrorism Service Medal; Armed Forces Reserve Medal w/ ‘M’ Device (2); Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon.

He is also a recipient of The Order of the Marechaussee for outstanding dedication and devotion to the Military Police Corps Regiment.
